OASIS® brand foams are distinguished by their uniform cell structure and by their specific strengths. These properties are key to the foams’ superior performance, whether they are used in flower arrangements, or as a growing medium.

Our wettable floral foam has a cell composition that permits control of saturation time and provides increased water transfer capabilities. This assures maximum cut-flower life of arrangements made in OASIS® brand Floral Foam.

To ensure top-quality products, an extensive flower-testing operation constantly monitors the performance of OASIS® brand Floral Foams. This extensive testing guarantees optimal performance of cut-flower life with the proper use of our Floralife® postharvest products.

OASIS® brand growing media products provide technologically advanced, sterile propagation media (rooting systems) for nourishing and growing vegetative annuals, perennials and plants. We use an on-site greenhouse to provide support to the grower markets, conducting research on optimal propagation conditions, as well as troubleshooting problems for growers and distributors. Our staff includes Ph.D. horticulture scientists, who routinely provide technical assistance to customers, in addition to onsite visits to their propagation facilities when needed.

Building on our phenolic foam expertise, Smithers-Oasis produces a number of foams for industrial use. Products include BIO-FOAM® impression foam, engineered for use in the podiatric field, and Cold Chain foam, which is used in transit for temperature-sensitive materials.
